Shun the Millstone, Shun the Meal

Shun the Millstone, Shun the Meal:

an iron clad rule that any strike or lockout must last a minimum of three months. Anything less and the workers will feel that they were on an extended vacation...a paid vacation at that, since the union has a war chest from which they can draw. After a few months, though, things will start to hurt. The war chest will empty, bank accounts dwindle, patience wane, nerves fray.
